Walking out to my car the other morning, I noticed a hopscotch game chalked onto the sidewalk. It’s summer, so I figured, “No big deal”… until I started reading it, and suddenly realized:
This was no ordinary hopscotch board.
It appears that some of the neighborhood kids (or maybe their parents? I can’t tell) had created the
WORLD’S BEST HOPSCOTCH GAME.
As you’ll soon see, it’s dice-based, so I don’t know if you can technically call it hopscotch, but it stretched halfway down the block, and so, like a (slightly weird, creepy) nerd, I walked its entire length taking pictures of each “tile.”
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Subtitles are provided, as some of the chalk colors — pink, in particular — didn’t show up so well on the iPhone cam.

(Did you notice the kicky little sneakers on the bottom?)
.
(My absolute favorite. It’s the mustache and the tea.)

(Another favorite.)

(Notice the angry grimace on the face. If I landed on this square, I’d be angry, too.)
.
(Did I mention how fantastic this game is?!)

I think we ALL win on this one.

Wow, that sure shows originality and creativity. Some physical action, some singing and dancing – what could be wrong with that? (Sorry, channelling Dawn from “Once More With Feeling” with that last bit.)
I WANNA PLAY!
I wrote a comment then my laptop spazzed and I can’t do it again, I just can’t.
Really good hopscotch tho.
Thanks for documenting this fantastic game!
Best. Game. EVER!
